Teachers incessantly remind students not to use AI tools, stating that it prevents you from thinking and developing your cognitive functions. But just how much truth is there to this statement?
Is it just a way to stop students from basing their homework off the program? Or is it a legitimate claim made to benefit the students and stop them from going on a downward spiral?

Well, because it’s so easy for someone to get ChatGPT to do their tasks for them, it becomes really easy for one to become reliant on it, which can be extremely detrimental for someone’s learning.

But when it comes down to the crunch during a physical examination, you’re going to be clueless on how to do the paper with no way out of it this time.

So while what teachers are saying does indeed have quite a lot of truth to it, ChatGPT is not all that bad. Being able to complete the task at hand easier while picking up some new things along the way? Sounds like a good deal to me. So yes, while we cannot be solely reliant on it for our academic journey, it is still evident that it brings a lot to the table and I don’t think anyone is able to deny that.
