We Are Hiring: Chinese Tutors

We are looking for passionate bilingual Chinese language tutors who are committed to nurturing students’ love for learning and helping them achieve academic success. As a Chinese tutor, you should have a strong grasp of the Chinese language and a deep understanding of Singapore’s MOE O Level Chinese and Higher Chinese syllabus. You’ll guide classes of up to 10 students, delivering clear and effective strategised explanations to help them reach their learning goals. You’ll also have the opportunity to tailor your approach to meet individual student’s learning needs, making the learning experience an engaging one.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and Deliver Lessons: Develop and conduct engaging, well-structured lessons (in a hybrid setting) that align with our curriculum, pedagogy, given resources and Singapore’s MOE syllabus.
Provide Individualized Support: Monitor and assess individual student’s learning progress and offering necessary feedback and guidance for improvement.
Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a supportive, motivating atmosphere that encourages student participation and builds their confidence in using the Chinese language.
Communicate with Parents: Provide updates to parents on their child’s progress, addressing any concerns and working together to support the student’s development.
Stay Current with Educational Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies, exam formats, and MOE syllabus updates to ensure effective and relevant teaching.

Minimum Requirements:

Educational Background: At least an Undergraduate degree, preferably in Chinese or a related field (e.g., education, linguistics).
Familiarity with Syllabus: Strong understanding of Singapore’s MOE O Level Chinese and Higher Chinese syllabus.
Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience (either in the public or private sector).
Bilingual Proficiency: Strong command of both Chinese and English, with the ability to effectively communicate in both languages.
Availability: Able to work on weekday evenings and/or weekends, with the ability to commit to at least one academic year.
Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for teaching the Chinese language and helping students excel.

We Are Hiring: Chinese Language Specialists and Support Team

Our Chinese Language Specialists play a key role in supporting our Chinese tutors and enhancing the learning experience for our students. We welcome university undergraduates or individuals with at least an A Level certificate (or equivalent) who are passionate about education and eager to contribute.

Responsibilities:

Support Tutors: Assist in developing and organizing lesson materials, helping to create effective, engaging content for our students.
Research: Conduct research on the latest educational strategies and resources to continuously improve our teaching methods.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with our team of tutors to design and update learning materials, ensuring alignment with the MOE syllabus.
Learning Resources: Create and redesign supplementary materials such as worksheets, blog posts, and quizzes to support student learning.
One-to-One Consultation Services: Provide personalized consultation sessions to students, focusing on their individual needs to help them achieve their academic goals.

We are also looking for dedicated administrative staff to join our support team (no prior experience required). In this role, you will be responsible for marketing our services, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional service to students and parents at our physical centre.
